Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers.

What if my single-speed bike chain has one half link?

Some bikes use a single half link to adjust chain length. Our caps are designed for standard 1/2" x 1/8" links, so if your chain has one half link, you may end up with a 1-piece visual gap. It won’t affect function - the rest of the caps will still fit and stay secure.

Do the caps fully cover the chain?

Insane Chains cover 3 out of 4 sides of the chain - the top, outer, and inner faces. We intentionally leave the underside open so you can still lubricate and maintain your chain without removing the caps.

What if my bike has a very small rear sprocket or tight chain spacing?

On some bikes with unusually small rear sprockets or very tight dropout spacing, there might not be enough room for the caps to fit around the full chain. This is rare but can happen - especially on smaller freestyle or custom setups.

How many pieces come in each box?

Our standard retail box includes 56 caps for bikes 16" and larger, and 35 caps for kids' bikes 14" and smaller.
