Do Insane Chains fit e-bikes?

Yes — as long as your e-bike uses a single-speed 1/2" x 1/8" chain, our snap-on caps will fit perfectly. This includes many electric cruisers, fat tire bikes, and city e-bikes that don’t use derailleur gear systems.

Will they work on my Macfox bike?

Yes! Macfox models like the X1 and X1S are single-speed and fully compatible with Insane Chains. In fact, our viral giveaway bike was built on a Macfox X1S with custom purple & white Insane Chains.

Will the caps stay on at higher e-bike speeds?

Definitely. Our caps are engineered for a snug, secure fit — tested by riders on e-bikes, BMX trails, and urban commutes. They stay in place even at 20–28mph assisted speeds.

Can I still lube the chain with the caps on?
