When Bert Fuertes rolled his blue SE build into the 2025 MCC 3rd Annual Bike Show, he wasn’t chasing trophies.
He brought a bike he actually rides.
By the end of the show, that bike, a 2024 SE Big Ripper HD, took 1st place for Best SE Bike, standing out among the six bikes Bert entered that day, with five trophies won overall.

🚲 Meet Bert Fuertes
Bert Fuertes lives and rides in Miami, Florida.
His winning bike is a 2024 SE Big Ripper HD single-speed, built with the intention of being ridden, not parked on a stand.
This is Bert’s second year building show bikes, and he’s already making an impact. He’s now partnering with Worldwide Exotic BMX & Bullseye to push BMX builds in a new direction.
“We are tired of the same BMX style,” Bert says.
“We are taking this to another level.”

🎨 The Vision Behind the Blue SE Ripper
The build started with frustration.
Bert originally ordered the bike with red parts, but once it arrived, he knew the colourway wasn’t right.
“I wasn’t happy with the red color, so I removed everything that was red and polished it.”
What followed was a clean, cohesive blue SE build that balanced show-quality detail with real-world rideability.

This build didn’t come together in isolation.
