Insane Chains started early in 2006 working with an adhesive company once the idea of custom chains was thought of. Side by side, through much success and failure, we discovered a way to bond aluminum to motorcycle and bicycle chain. For the guy that takes care of his chain and maintains the proper tension the aluminum works great but as time progressed, we discovered an even better method of bonding plastic to chain. Plastic can withstand abuse and punishment far better then aluminum, its lighter and cheaper to produce as well. It took off from there, we are now able to chrome, nickel and copper plate our plastic link plates and are currently working on gold plating. We are also able to paint the plates and now offer an endless variety of colors. We see no end to the possibilities and look forward to constantly updating our options. To ensure a durable and lasting product, Insane Chains has been testing on a wide variety of motorcycles through all kinds of conditions. We have purchased and modified testing equipment that vibrates and abuses the chain beyond anything that our motorcycle testing has been able to do. We will continue to move forward working with all kinds of ideas and materials so you will constantly have new chain choices.
